Outside my window there are four water birds, vaguely duck like. Three are mostly white, with dark green heads and wings that are partially black, but the fourth is a bit more delicate, mostly feathered grey and white, but with a red brown head and pronounced crest.

Is there such a thing as a relatively cheap microphone that is useful for recording live music to one's computer (particularly voice, harp, bass...)? I have a passably decent mic for voice rec, but I'm guessing that's optimized pretty differently.
