(no subject)

Yesterday during sword I noticed that every time I went into a balance stance, it felt like the whole building was rolling under me. Too much time on the barge in the wind? Of course, later on, during cannonfist, I was a bit dizzy in a more usual sort of way, so I might have just been fighting something. (Went home, went to bed, slept for nine hours straight, feel fine now.)

Still, more wind is supposed to be on the way. This might get old. OTOH, if I lose power I think I will just go work in the lab.

Two applications need to be finished by tomorrow. This should be doable. (Another I thought was due tomorrow is now due Jan. 15, but I'm going to try to get them in tomorrow anyway, as they have rolling admissions and are pretty much my first pick anyway.) The one part I'm not looking forward to is coming up with a list of faculty I'd like to work with at the school which is the most prestigious of those I'm applying to and yet for some reason I'm completely unenthused about. (Oh, and they have the best climate, too.) Don't know what my problem is.

Gah. It is so darned dark for almost 11am. I am enjoying the plant lights as much as my plants are, I think.
