So, my mother is almost ready to install Ubuntu. She would, however, like to save some of the email she currently had on her local machine. She uses Outlook. I haven't touched Outlook in years, and don't remember if you can export messages in anything like a portable format. (I also am currently in the Daggett lab, and can't poke at her machine.)

Any suggestions?

Mom's Ubuntu install is up and running just fine, and she's thrilled with it. ("OMG, it's so fast!") She's now setting up accounts for L and T ("Remember, mom, don't make Tracey an admin...") She says to thank everyone who had advice on her mail backup.

Spent the day around the university -- Daggett group meeting, revisions, hunting folks down and some shopping. One of my quieter days (I say before heading off to a potluck tonight...)

This visit has gone so quickly. Not a lot of downtime. I'm not complaining about anything that has happened, but the things I haven't managed yet...!
