the spoils...
Oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus) and puffballs (Lycoperdon perlatum) on the cutting board, deer mushrooms (Pluteus cervinus) in my hat*. Surrounded by a variety of interesting inedibles (making me very sad that I really don't have time to spend a day in the lab playing with them.
* This is my new hiking cap from Hatterdashery, replacing a much loved companion of many years that departed last year (I assume) to seek its fortune. Up until now I haven't been sure if the new one was really going to work out, but having had the chance to stuff it full of mushrooms I am indeed satisfied.
