Anyone Want an Awesome WebCam?
I've had a logictech web cam 9000 at work for a bit (this is the one with the Zeiss optics). I have loved it dearly. So much so that I finally decided to pick one up for home use.
Two days after I ordered, K found out that there is a version of the same camera aimed at Macs that has the autofocus build into the hardware. Now, the one I just ordered will work just fine with linux - but a lot of the bells and whistles only work under Windows. I figured I'd live... but the Mac one was too cool to pass up. (And it is - works better than many dissecting scopes I've used.)
But I'd already ordered the other. So now I have both, and I really have no use for the Windows version. I picked it up for $67, and would happily rehome it for $50 (or $50 + shipping if you're not local) - I'll have to pay shipping and a restocking fee if I return it. (It's unopened, and currently sitting on my bookshelf.)
