Okay, the power is out
Dec. 27th, 2002 02:49 pmAnd has been out for a couple of hours. Ran my errands, and then took forever getting home because several roads were, closed with fallen trees. I'll be checking mail and lj from time to time over the back up connection, but I don't want to waste power.
Fire's in the oven, things are basically fine. Dark, though, even with the skylights. If you need to reach me, call my cell.
BTW -- I'm sure most of you know this, but in the kosher food section of most grocery stores are sold shabbos candles, usually a box of 72 for about five bucks. Good thing to know in this weather, or if you just like candles. (Their was a run on the "household candles" but not these, even though they are cheaper.)
Don't have an ETA on the power returning, though I doubt it will be as long as last time around. I really would like to have a generator hooked up to the exercise bike... seems like such a waste not to.
