Group Hike
Jun. 8th, 2003 08:52 pmHow does either next Saturday (the 14th, which happens to be a full moon) or the Saturday after (the 21st, which happens to be the summer solstice) sound for the next group hike?
I'm thinking it's time to hit the Old Robe River Trail -- this was our best attended hike last year, and it's quite spectacular. Three miles or so round trip, mostly flat (you go down a hill to get to the main trail, then up the same hill coming back) through several different kinds of forest and then along an old railway that folows the rocky side of a river. Big trees, big rocks, water, sky.... It's the kind of hike that reminds you why hiking is a very good thing.
