Jun. 29th, 2003 11:07 amWhatever happened to sunny days with highs in the seventies? I mean, I know that living farther away from the water generally means our highs are higher (and lows lower, except damnit, we got more snow when I was a kid on Cap Hill) but this is still seeming a little ridiculous.
By Seattle norms, summer hasn't yet started (and doesn't until July 8th). How many days have we already had with temperatures in the eighties or nineties? Not that the eighties are really that bad, mind. And my tomatoes are loving it. But still.
Sometimes I've thought of moving somehwere warmer, just for the gardening. I've always wanted olive trees. I would love to be able to grow citrus. It would be fun for peppers and eggplants to be a little less work...
Then again, maybe I'll just stay here and wait.
(Meanwhile, today has been partly cloudy, and this is a very good thing.)
