I am tired and grumpy.

Class actually went pretty well. I finally went into crouch stance properly in class during the form (a first, I've done it at home, and done it in class by itself). My knees are doing a lot better. I'm frustrated a bit with my ability to direct qi through my arms... but I think I have an idea on how to work on that problem. I think my arms have been partially unusable for me for so long that I don't really believe in them any more... (And I suspect that problem was made worse short term by sore muscles from weight lifting. But I'm hoping the weights will help long term...)

Maybe Craig will let me throw him around the room a bit for practice. That would be cool.

And the shoe situation is frustrating. Now I have shoes that do everything I need... except if I do forms in them for more than an hour and a half, my right leg gets achey. (I'm wearing dress orthodics with them, which don't really give me support. I'm learning to correct for that a bit, but eventually fatigue sets in. So hopefully the time span will increase. I'm pretty sure this is why my hip went out last week.)

I also probably overdid it a little on the crunches today. I probably should skip them tomorrow... or at least wait until after wushu. (I've pretty much had to quit crucnches for the last couple of years because they aggravated my neck... so doing sets of sixty and having my neck only a little aggravated is progress. I'll appreciate it more later.)

But I'm still tired and grumpy. Maybe going to bed will help.

I am really tired again. I also have either low level allergy problems (I so hope not -- between the shots and the antihistamines, I had been doing very well -- so well I've been thinking of cutting back on the antihistamines) or a mild cold like thing. Probably related. Despite all that, class went fairly well, except for that bit near the end of bagua when I could barely stop yawning (and we were learning cool new stuff, too). Still having probelms with my hip, but I think I know what to do with that.

What has actually changed today is that I'm much more seriously considering going back to school for a few quarters. I went down today and asked what it would take to register. They pulled up my files, said "too late for fall quarter, otherwise, fill out this piece of paper, everything is set up, you're in good standing" etc. etc. So then I trekked on over to the Asian language department -- first time I've talked to them since I stormed out in a huff on finding out that a clerical error on their parts was going to mean I couldn't graduate.
