Well, that was an education...

about pain fumes, and enclosed spaces. And oil based paint, for that matter. (Luckily, even in my stoned state, some part of my brain said "try olive oil" so my hands and arms are no longer white...) Oy!

Luckily, while there are good reasons for the sealer to be oil based, the colors will not be.

The bathroom is now this incredibly luminous tint of golden yellow. I would call it butter yellow, but that doesn't really convey the warmth... Egg yolk blended into marscapone?

I *so* prefer to work with water soluable paints!

I might have to wait until tomorrow to sponge on the darker gold... I want it to look like parchment.
