Don't Trust Me

On March 8th, two days after the fact, there will be a birthday party to celebrate my turning 30. Here. Eveningish.

Details will follow, but I wanted to at least get that much down.

Another day...

another power outtage. Short though.

After the last set was over, I cleaned all my candle jars, put fresh candles in them, and put them on top of the fridge. One of the big mags lives over by the door, and in a couple of minutes I moved dinner from the stove to the fondue burner (need to get a stand for the second burner) and life went on, just darker.

I'm getting a check list. First, find flashlight and/or light candles. Next, turn off any burners, because if you forget they're on and the power comes back you'll be sorry... Wrap any things that were simmering on the stove in dishtowels, which will keep them warm while you make other arrangments. Just as dinner was ready to be eaten, the power came back on.

Which is good, because now I can make cheesecake.
