My kitty is old

You wouldn't know it to look at him, his coat is shiny, his step light. He's kept his figure. (You'd know it, however, if he bit you, because he has no more teeth.) But he's fourteen, which is definately getting on in years.

Around the time he turned ten he decided that he was above the law. Or at least above courtesy. He is possessed of vibrant health and an extra helping of attitude.

Sometimes I'll come across him, sleeping, so still that I can't see him breathing and I pet him, just to see him move and reassure myself he isn't gone.
