Crashed hard last night, slept deeply, had to peel myself out of bed (in a good sort of way). A few things still sore, nothing currently really tweaked, so I will be trying wushu. No longer feeling like I need to go have hysterics at my physical therapist, either, also a good thing.

Have alot of garden work I should be doing, which (except for basic stuff like watering) I'm kind of putting off until my neck and back stabilize a bit. Frustrating. If I'm feeling up to it after wushu, though I have a bunch of really light non posturally challenging weeding and planting to do in the front herb garden which might be a nice compromise. (Of course, what I really want to do is some serious edging.)

Maybe I can get Craig to help me clear out space in back.

Okay, I think I have to keep in mind that even if the stuff my PT is giving me to do seems really small and subtle, I'm really doing an awful lot. (And I am! The first set of exercises she gave me came with a warning that it would probably take six weeks or so to get any results. Five days later she announced that area was looking much better, let's work elsewhere on the spine. I haven't been doing all this taiji for nothing, y'know.)

Anyhow, went in for wushu. Made it through the whole class. Had fun. But omigod my back hurt. Up and down the spine, both side. Not tweaking sort of hurt, not injury sort of hurt, just muscles insisting that they've been way overused (so not true! at least not the way I usually do.) When we were doing pushups and leg lifts and such, I was just about to die. It hurt to hold a low horse stance. It hurt to hold my arms straight out to either side. My shoulders and upper back screamed bloody murder... but actually, after everything warmed up, it all went reasonable well. (My left hamstring is a little tight, though, have to remember to look into that.) Oh, and the region around my SI joint is touchy, which better be a temporary thing. I went through that one once this year already. (However, a lot of alignment around there is changing, so it's probably just that.)

Then we cruised around the U-dist looking at houses. Starting to get interested in moving back to the city, but this is an idea in the early, speculative stages. I love that area. It'd be a great place to live, though the yards tends towards tiny. OTOH, I'm pretty fond of our current house. (I'm also vaguely looking into the idea of picking up a rental property, but... probably not for a year or two. Depends on the market.)

Latest redinition of beans and rice. (Actually, this wasn't dinner, this is just something for Craig to take to work and me to lunch on.)
