My feet hurt.

PT today. My neck and upper back are doing much, much better. Alignment wise, anyway -- still some healing that needs to happen, of course, but the right muscles are for the most part doing the right things. (Oh, and last the x-rays revealed that I have absolutely no spinal degeneration. None at all. No fractures either. But my doctor was very surprised at just how good my spine looked consider the hell I've put it through.)

So we worked on some of the stance issues relating to my SI joint. And stance stuff in general, which I'd been wanting to talk to her about. Which drew attention down to my poor scarred and battered ankles, and had me doing some whacky exercises trying to work on alignment in my legs... Which is a long term project, but I'm getting some confidence that I can at least make significant gains (there's always this question of how far I can go since the bones themselves are unlikely to bend).

And that was hard, but promising, and now it's cooling down, I've been on my feet most of the day and it's all coming home to roost. Ouch!

Peas and carrots and spinach and radishes...

(Okay, it's probably too early for peas, but I figure they'll make an interesting experiment, and I can till them under if nothing else.)

Oh, and lettuce. Lots of lettuce. Can't forget that.

From the noaa weather page:

.SYNOPSIS...THE HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM THAT WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RECENT WARM WEATHER WILL WEAKEN BY MIDWEEK. THIS WILL ALLOW FOR INCREASING ONSHORE FLOW RESULTING IN A COOLING TREND. TEMPERATURES WILL LOWER TO NEAR NORMAL ON THURSDAY. EXPECT DAYTIME TEMPERATURES TO RECOVER THIS WEEKEND...WITH READINGS CLIMBING ABOVE NORMAL ONCE AGAIN.

Okay, is it only me or does anyone else fine the word "normal" suspect in this context?

I really need to see if I can find a site with temperature information for this region going back 30-50 years -- 'cause it really seems to me that we're having more hot and sunny weather than we used to, but maybe I'm just getting old and noticing it more.

Don't get me wrong -- the garden is loving it, and it may resolve my crisis of region (which is that I really adore the pacific northwest and love it dearly... and yet would still like to have one garden in the mediterranean...) I just worry at what might get lost with such a fusion.
