Aug. 10th, 2003 12:53 amNot a great day. On the plus side, I got up and headed down to the Redmond Farmer's market and got there just after opening. More squash and beans and eggplants and okra and amaranth... (And corn that wasn't very good -- don't know what's up with that, got it from my favorite farmer.)
But then I came home and got an increasingly awful headache, which eventually sent me to bed for a bit (well, I hadn't really gotten enough sleep.) Finally isolated which muscles were freaking out, and I pretty much can keep the headache at bay as long as I remember not to let those muscles fire. (It's harder when I'm sitting. And it's just hard, though it gets easier with time.) So I made us a dinner of amaranth, green beans, and a sauce of chicken of the woods and chicken over pasta.
And then we watched the first Tomb Raider movie. No, this was not my idea, though I'll admit I was curious. My god. I am actually quite stunned by how catagorically awful that movie was. Is she a heroine or just a fastion statement? I expected it to be derivative of Indiana Jones, but it actually reminded me more of the James Bond movies... though I think it would have been more amusing if Laura Croft had a love 'em and leave 'em thing going. Why should a strong woman need to live like a nun?
