Has anyone else seen this?

I was just cutting tomatoes up for sauce (calamari with eggplants, beans and two kinds of squash from the garden). Now most of them were my tomatoes, but some were ones I picked up at the farmer's market over a week ago. They looked okay, on the outside.

But when I started to cut one of them I realised something wasn't right. So I opened it with my fingers, to realise that a bunch of the tomato seeds had sprouted -- inside the tomato! Three inch long little plants with rudimentary leaves. Ew! But kind of cool, too.

I think I might have to plant them and see if they're willing to overwinter under lights... I mean, obviously they are tough.
