Wouldn't it be fun if you too were studying Taiji, or Wushu? (Or Bagua, or Xingyi, for that matter...)

It just occurred to me that I haven't posted the school spiel for a bit, so here it is:

The Chinese Taiji and Wushu Academy has central headquarters in the I-Dist, though Friday and Sunday Wushu classes are held in a much larger space in Wallingford. (Master Hong Yijiao is simply tops, I can't say enough good things about her, and most of you who know me have probably heard most of them before, anyway.) I've been studying with her for about four and a half years now... We also tend to have really top flight visiting instructors teaching seminars at the school -- so it's worthwhile to keep on eye on the school page even if you aren't taking regular classes with us. The page is at http://www.yijiaowushu.com I've added a link to it from my schedule page as well.

This quarter we've changed the wushu pay schedule. Begining students still pay $200 for the quarter, but beyond begining there is a flat fee of $268 a quarter and you can attend as many classes as you want. (Well, there are nine wushu classes total, I believe, across five days. And one is age limited, and another only for weapons qualified students.)

The Taiji side of the school is where I started, and Taiji is still I think what Master Hong is really known for. Begining taiji classes this quarter are Tuesday evenings and Wednesday mornings. I'd personally recommend Chen in a general sort of sense, and will happily go on about the differences between styles if you show the slightest interest.
