OKCupid

Okay, so I have an OKCupid account. Which I don't do a lot with, but I'm interested enough in the matching algorithms that I'm slowly answering questions. But my heavens... some of these questions...

"Do you own your own country's flag?"

Is this a practical or a philosophical question? Are we talking about owning a tangible thing, or whether I, as a citizen of this country, am therefore an owner of the flag the way I am an owner of the national forests? I think it would be no to the first, but yes to the second, unless little paper flags on toothpicks count, in which case I'm not really sure. At one point I did.

"In your ideal sexual encounter, do you take control, or do they?"

Which is, I'll grant, an interesting questions, but... there are only two options. So much for fucking ideal. For the record, I don't particularly like to get stuck being either "active" or "passive".

"Do you believe in some kind of a spiritual, cosmic force outside the realm of most modern religion?"

Er... even checking other definitions of "cosmic" didn't help me here. I actually have strong spiritual feelings about gravity. Heavens, what's this "outside the realm of most modern religion" bit, for that matter? I'm not even going to go into the black hole that is "believe"...

Title 9 Sports

I've given many people copies of the Title 9 Sports catalog over the years, because it's a really great source for women's athletic clothing, especially sports bras. (Yes, I care a whole lot about good sports bras.)

I have the bestest oven in the whole world.

Well, okay, probably not, but it's a damn fine oven. Nothing like brightening a cool, rainy evening with a fire in the brick oven. Mmmm... and the applewood is very dry, and the oven has the sweetest draw of any wood burning appliance I've worked with, and it is making the house warm in a particularly cozy way.
