So, the first delivery from the CSA just came in.

Flowers. A couple different kinds of lettuce. Goat cheese. Eggs. (Yes, they will do vegan shares if asked.) Arugula. Strawberries. Edible flowers for salads. Edible chrysanthemum greens. Mmm... Pretty darned good for a beginning of seasons share. (Dawn Marie -- if you're still wanting to share a share, we need to work out a time to pick it up... though honestly, I'm looking at this and thinking "I could eat this all myself..." And they do do half shares, which would be delivered to *your* door...)

They still are accepting members (and will pro rate shares) and of course they offer delivery to your door on the Eastside -- so if you happen to be interested, there's still time to get in... http://www.localharvest.org/farms/M3440 has their info.

And then, just as I was exclaiming over the produce, I got a call from the Bicycle Alliance saying that I will be able to lease a secure bike locker at the Redmond Park and Ride. (*does a little dance*) Wheee! The only reason I haven't been biking more recently is that I haven't had a secure place to keep my bike when I'm going into the city. Which is most of the time I'm going anywhere, sadly.

[livejournal.com profile] corivax's response to my post about CSAs reminded me that I never posted a link to the CSA article. (For some reason, the website wasn't updated until more than a month after the article was published, by which point I'd forgotten...)

So here it is: http://www.widdershins.org/vol9iss8/08.htm

Note that at the bottom is a link to the Tilth CSA list. I'm guessing Dog Mountain Farms is not the only CSA that would be happy to take on late subscribers ;-)
