I really wish LJ filters had an exclusive and function -- I'd like to be able to, say, make a post to only the people who are in both of two filters... it would make filter administration a lot easier for me ;-)

And while I'm at it, I wish there was (if there isn't, I haven't found it, but haven't searched exhaustively) a less cumbersome way of reviewing what posts were posted to what filters, and editing them if appropriate. (Say, something pulling up the first four lines of every post you made for a given time people and what filter if any they were posted to.)

This seems ridiculous, because really, I don't tend to use filters *that* much... certainly not that creatively ;-) But if I actually finish cleaning up my filters as intended, I probably ought to delete some of the more spurious ones and I'd like to be able to easily find and reassign posts. (For some kind of internal reason that does not really suppose anyone else cares whether they can still see some kind of random post I made a couple of years bck.)

Yesterday Shifu quizzed me on my previous course of studies, extracting that yes, indeed, I had been a Chinese L & L major. (And said "you should teach Chinese at the school". Uh... yeah. Okay, I have been cracking a lot of jokes in Chinese at the school recently, in an undertone... I guess I could join F. in teaching everyone how to whine and complain in Chinese. A lot of that stayed with me ;-) )

And then she asked about what exactly I'd done at Microsoft, mostly to establish whether I'd worked with her husband. Who was in internationalization. So maybe that's what it was all about.
