Inauspicious start...

So I just tried and failed to give blood. My iron levels were fine.
Everything was fine. And in fact, I gave almost a pint of blood -- but I
was two ounces under their minimum, so while I have the nasty bruise, and
general sense of lethargy to prove I tried, my blood will just be thrown
away. (They need at least a certain amount or the anti-coagulants already
in the bags will be in too high of a concentration.) I'm just grumpy and
sleep deprived enough that this seems like an omen.

While I applaud my body's general policy towards keeping blood inside,
this really bites.

I've been really enjoying the meme wherein people sign up to be told things the host adores about them. And I want to play. But I'm in a fey mood, and think I would rather write blessings. Possibly cryptic blessings. Or not ;-) Any takers?

(I'm not pretending this is equivalent to the other meme, and I might host the other at some other time... but I thought this would at least be entertaining.)
