(no subject)
May. 1st, 2005 12:16 amToday was Taiji at artspawn (all female group, and a lot of partner exercises -- not sure if the two are related) and then I played hookey from wushu to go hiking with
jinasphinx.
The air sits differently there. Mostly a pleasant but not particularly remarkable used to be a road sort of trail, interspersed with washed out bits and fairly perilous ex-bridges, and then these sudden vistas, three mountains rising over a river. A stream running into a deep spot, revealing the luminous blue of the water. Swamp lillies in bloom.
I need to get out more. It's as cleansing as training, though in a completely different way. I'm thinking of making a real point to take at least one Saturday off of wushu a month to go hiking, and to try and get out on Sundays when I can as well.
There's nothing quite like the appetite one gets after hiking, either.
Not particularly related to anything, but something I might want to expand on later...
When the dust settled, I saw
that there are no ends, and no beginnings,
but those we make,
only change.
And I am not afraid.
