(no subject)

Well, despite my brave words last week, I seem to have a bit of a cold, and my first lab presentation is tomorrow, so no Grind for me. I'm even feeling sociable... in a low energy quiet sort of way. Next week, maybe...

On the plus side, we now have a working OLAP cube. After many, many hours on the phone with a very nice support guy who kept hoping that somehow our data would turn into sales data, and who really didn't like the fact that there is more than one of many kind of atoms in a protein. But after telling me for a while that he didn't think what I wanted could be done, he kept with me, and now it has been done. Not sure how much data massaging this is going to take to scale things up, though. And my presentation is pretty much done, though I'll probably be fleshing out a few areas tomorrow before I give it.

Oo. And Craig is making funny noises above my head, tromping around on the roof.
