Jan. 17th, 2006 05:39 pmSo it was only a couple of blocks, and I was only running to catch a bus, and I wasn't wearing the right shoes and had to struggle to keep ahold of my books... but I found my stride, and ran, and I coulld breath, and nothing hurt. It felt good.
(It's only been recently that I could run comfortably at all, between asthma and the fucked-upedness of my legs. And even now I tend to be wary of it out of reflex (well that, and several doctors telling me I really oughtn't to take up running, what with the way my legs are put together)... but I'm starting to close in on it, I think. Of course this would be the start of birch pollen season :-P )
I'm starting to wonder if I can start jogging in to the lab in the mornings. Something to work up to, I think, but walking is just too darned slow, and biking is almost too fast.
