tylik: (triose phosphate isomerase)
After a lovely meal (getting to kibbitz of other people's modelling pioblem's and introducing a guy with resources to someone who could use them) our table had first dibs on getting to head up to the observatory and see the sights. (Thanks to a quick witted tablemate.)

And so we all trooped up in the dark to play with a really nifty telescope (Andromeda! A planetary nebula!) amidst more gossip and discussion.

On the way down D. turned to me and said: "suddening protein dynamics seems boring...!"

I had been thinking how happy I was to have made my way (back) to this community. (Other people's problems are always more interesting. At least over dinner.)
