Oct. 19th, 2006 09:56 pmFeeling better. Not exactly well, but I didn't fall on my face for four hours in the middle of the day. (I also didn't bike into school, and kept things like running up flights of stairs to a minimum.) Put in a reasonable day in the yeast lab. Got a few other things dealt with. Have a lot more to do, but I'm trying to take things slowly.
I did manage to bake two loaves of bread (it had been too long since I made bread) and right now I have a big pot of beans, winter squash, tomatillos and chilis simmering on the stove. (Tomatillos and about half the chilis -- I use a bunch of different kinds -- from my own garden.) Cooking always makes me feel much more grounded about life. It also means that I will have things to eat that don't require a lot of prep time. Bonus.
Need to make something with some more of the assorted wild mushrooms. But I also need to go to bed. Hmph. And I forgot to actually eat dinner, even with all the cooking. I think it will be a slice of bread with hummus and tomatoes.
