Saturday my only scheduled activity was hanging out with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
canyonwren. We spent some hours getting caught up, getting lunch, talking taiji and so on. Sad to get back in touch so soon before I leave the state! Otherwise, a lot of quiet laundry, cleaning, and that kind of stuff. Overdue.
Sunday started with the Chen class up on Woodinville, enlivened by teaching people the Dao form for the first time. Lots of material in not a lot of time, and I had a few episodes of Taiji Beta... (Someday I will figure out how to prepare for teaching a form I haven't taught before by other means than teaching it. Or maybe I just need to make sure I always have a beta tester.)
Then up to Whidbey for more training. Wherein we faced -- and mostly succumbed -- to You Tube.
BTW, there's a ton of Chen stuff up on You Tube. Any of you who are interested, I'd recommend looking at a number of different people doing the same form -- I'm reminded again how many flourishes many people add when performing... and it's useful to see how different the same form can be from different people. (An older CZL video really startled me, though several more recent ones by other students of CZL were more what I was accustomed to. My favorite clip of the Chen 18 only showed the first half...)
