Aug. 12th, 2007 10:59 pmUp too late. However, good day.
New morning routine is to do some joint unlocking and any needed spine repair, and then go do forms. Start slow, ramp up, train hard. Then come in and stretch. Stretch for a shorted period of time, but stretch harder (which is easy, because I'm already warmed up.) Tried it this morning, and mostly felt a little foolish I hadn't done this before. Completing my left front splits -- not settling into them all the way, though. Rights need a little more work, but I think this is better way of making progress there.
Got almost everything done I wanted to do today. Lots of miscellaneous stuff cleaned. Plants all re-potted. Veggie larb made. (which is a little anti-climactic -- 45 minutes of chopping herbs and peppers and alliums and so on while cooking quinoa and lentils and squeezing limes and crushing spices... and about five minutes of cooking. However, tasty. Let the grain for the bread sprout longer before grinding it. Makes for a distinctly sweeter sponge -- I assume the carbs are being broken down into sugars -- and a faster process. More interesting flavor, too, without being quite so heavily sour. Liking this.
Oh, and I finally got around to trying on a pair of pants I'd always kind of liked but which always seemed to have been cut subtly wrong. Now they are loose, but much better behaved. Better yet, they are a heavy twill pant (don't have many of those) and I think this style is still being made, so if I continue to like them, I can buy them without actually having to enter a store. They'll probably be really nice in colder weather -- really, a little heavy for today, but I was mostly indoors anyway. Must find dressier pants one of these days, though.
