Jan. 18th, 2008 02:12 pmMy back's been touchy ever since I got back from Seattle. (Probably while I was there, too.) Finally went to the chiropractor yesterday, which helped a lot. But this morning I worked on an experiment in a really wretchedly cold lab, and while I think I'm still okay mechanically, something in my back and shoulder have cramped up, and I am feeling sore and headachey. Also, the experiment didn't work. (I don't think I'm going to try again today. However, I will do some prep work for next time.) I really should call facilities about the cold. All of us who work in that room now spend most of our time in the annex where it's warm and we can eat... but where we can't do experiments.
I have been being schizophrenic about classes. Last week I was regretting the start of the quarter, because classes take time away from research -- bah! Now I'm enrolled in too many classes, and can not bear to drop one of them. I'm kind of afraid that I won't get another chance to take it (this is actually fairly likely).
I've also been more than usually busy, though fairly non-stressed except for my back. Yesterday was two classes, three seminars and a successful experiment, before Chen.
