Jan. 22nd, 2009 10:03 amNot that I should even need this much reminding but yeah, sleep reallly does make everything better. I went to bed *stupidly* early, but at 4am I woke up (yes, getting more sleep means I'm less likely to wake up early) and was appropriately rested. And - mind you, I was pretty sure of this already - but yeah, my body really loves the latest version of the training schedule. So, while we're covering the physiology of muscle contractions (appropos, but something I've been through in more detail multiple times I'm slightly aware that my body, while a little sore, is very happy.
For the record, the schedule (usually starting at ~4:OO-4:15) is: one hour yoga (both strength and flexibility), one hour Calculus (& breakfast), half an hour sparring, 45 minutes forms, and then shower and off to campus.
Aside from the sheaf of forms and sparring projects, I'm focusing a lot on flexibility and stability in my hips and sacrum. Except that I seem to be gaining a lot of muscle on my arms (particularly upper arms) so I might start playing with that a bit more intentionally. Alternating days would be good, anyway.
