I've been realizing that mine is getting pretty involved. It used to be just keys, with a flashlight on the same ring as the keys and then a short tether to a small ring with a leatherman micra and a tiny mag lite. (Though which was with the keys and which at the end of the tether changed switched a few times.)
That flashlight, which served faithfully for many years, died a horrible death. It was replaced by an LED light, which clips to (or more importantly can be unclipped from) a small compass. Then I added a utilikey. Then a flash drive. (Then more keys.) And more recently a mini-sharpie.
Hey, it's a good place to put small useful tools, and I pretty much always have it with me. However... I often wear pants without pockets, so often the side with the micra often gets stuck in my waistband, with most of the keys then dangling by the tether. (Which is noisy, but when my hands are full, hey, it works.)
