My kitchen smells of leeks and fenugreek and boletus edulis. (And garlic and coriander and a little fennel and cumin...) Fenugreek, oh, I adore thee. Why isn't this a mainstay in everyone's kitchen? Fenugreek sautéed in oil with alliums. Yum.

It's not really that cold today here (hanging around -5 C mostly) but man, the wind is fierce. After doing forms for an hour or so this morning I came back in and sat on an unpadded wood chair, and boy did that feel warm on my butt. It snowed last night - not a lot, but it hasn't been plowed. I decided not to leave the grounds of the apartment today, and holed up and got ahead on grading and am making soup.
