Completed proposal outline, including lots of notes for the anxiety appendix.*

Started lentil sweet potato soup. I hope this is a good idea. It certainly smells like a good idea. (Lots of fenugreek, some fennel, coriander and a pinch of cumin browned with onion. Lentils. Sweet potato. Probably a lot of chard. I suspect I will finish it with spicy local garlic and lemon.) This is one of the things I like best about working from home. My breaks kind of rock.

Ordered Sylgard. (This is sylgard for home, not sylgard for lab. Been meaning to do this for the last, oh, three years.)

Next: write up spinal nerve review. Possibly short general spinal cord anatomy review as well. Seriously considering offering to give special senses lectures. (Note: Shouldn't be volunteering for more teaching, really, but if I don't do it soon all the cool neuro stuff will be done. And I liked my spine lectures from last year better than the ones Dr. O gave this year because I was sick. Is vain.)

Then: get the order into Ayyaware for tabi. They still sound like my best waterproof shoe alternative. (And if they like them, maybe I'll get dress tabi.)

Maybe I'll feel like taking a nap, and then I'll go to yoga? I really want to go. I really don't feel up to it.**

* I'm noticing that I tend to think of all kinds of objections for why these experiments might not work. Many I probably shouldn't mention in the proposal, so I'm having an anxiety index. And when my committee asks any of those questions, I shall smile broadly, and flip to those slides.
** I've done morning yoga, sparring, and forms today. But it was only about 45 minutes of forms.
