Jan. 21st, 2004 10:46 pmEvery Wednesday is getting a little bit better. This week I didn't sit out at all. (I'd been taking a break while the Chen class did warm ups -- by that point I've been training for almost three hours, and don't really need to warm up -- but that just means that my muscles start to cool down. Of ocurse, I also didn't *eat* between Sword and Chen, which wasn't necessarily a good thing.) I did a bunch of heat and ice on the knot under my right shoulder blade before class... and sword went fine. My right hip is pretty pissed at me, but other than not going quite as low on stances in Chen as I usually do this wasn't too much of a problem. (Okay, I think it threw my balance off a little in sword. Not enough to blow anything major, but once or twice I think I wobbled.) Too much crouch stance -- mostly that's not enough to demonstrate that I still haven't gotten back my SI joint stability, but this was enough.
If things continue to improve next week, I'll keep doing the triple class. If not... I might take a couple of weeks off Wednesday wushu. It really bummed me last week when I got so tired and sore during Chen. I like wushu, but I have priorities ;-)
