Apr. 18th, 2004 07:54 pmDecent day, but one that would be improved by more sleep... OTOH, people in the Sunday seem to be picking up "Fair lady works the shuttles" much more quickly than I expected. Yay!
Yesterday we did the
fgp hike up to the Old Robe River Trail. (I'll be posting pictures to fgp.) The intrepid six (
kerri_tgrl,
plantae,
ilmarinen,
gement,
craigp and I) found the trail as lovely as ever, though the going slightly rougher, as some pieces of the trail apparently fell into the river over the winter. This, sadly, seems to be a continuing process with the Old Robe Trail.... But the hike was hiked, rocks were climbed, tunnel explored, river ogled, and a good time was had (I presume!) by all.
Then we headed back, and I met up with K who was just back from his test. And we decided to go on a little walk while there was still light... and four hours later, well after full dark, eventually made it back with a bag full of groceries for dinner. (And the somewhat annoying news, for me, that my "walking shoes" will give me blisters on the bottoms of my feet. At least with those socks. Feh. I shouldn't have changed out of my boots. Though, darn it, it's still just silly to wear boots for a walk around town.)
I should plant seeds, start bread, make bread salad, pounce the Lynx, practice forms (uh... good theory, anyway) and get to bed early.
I really have to sit down and reassess my priorities... though some of that will have to wait until Shifu gets back from China and I have a better idea what's going on with some of the MA stuff. Most of my feeling like I'm spinning my wheels is at least partially outside of my control, but it's still anoying.
