I have a new car
Nov. 16th, 2004 10:12 pmNew of course is a relative term, but I now am the happy owner of a Volvo sedan. For a not particularly large car, it has a strangely tank like feel to it... considering how many times I've been hit, and how much this has trashed my body, I'm finding this more comforting than I expected. It's probably dull and boring, but to me it seems to have a nice understated sort of tweedy class to it. I'm pretty darned pleased.
(My sense of aesthetics is probably fairly twisted when it comes to cars. For instance, I've long wanted to own a 70's sort of Volkswagon station wagon. Probably because a family that had a lot to do with raising me had one when I was a kid, so it has good associations. If I feel compelled to buy a Beagle, please, restrain me....)
[Poll #386093]
Now, I don't promise that I will actually pick one of the names offerred, but I am looking for ideas. I'd had Zukia for a couple of years before I even thought of naming her. (I don't have any particular sense of gender for this one. Of course, Zukia was female not because of feminity per se but because she was such a blatant dyke car...)
