A Question about Cell Phone Headsets

tylikI have a Sony Ericsson 610. I have the cheap little earbud headset that came with it free. I would like to get a better headset.
1. I really want something that fastens onto my ear better. My ears are small. The earbud pops out. Especially if I'm gardening, or walking in the woods or something like that.
2. Sound quality is important. I don't know what the range is here, but that's still the downside of cellphones. (And I got mine primarily as a data mediator, and didn't worry much about it's phone use.)
3. Bluetooth would be nice. However,
4. Bluetooth would not be nice if it means the phone runs down more quickly.
Anyone have any recommendations? I'm particiularly intrigued by the bluetooth headsets, but suspect that they won't be practical for me.
