So I elected for the quiet night at home. Soon I'll go to bed. I've been sleeping very well, but not very much -- I'm not sure how much sleep I really need if I'm sleeping deeply, but I want to make sure I'm in good shape by the time the quarter starts.

Meanwhile, I've been putting away laundry, and doing laundry, and generally putting things together a bit more here. A solitary dinner of artichokes. (This is a favorite indulgence of mine.) Oh, and chestnuts. And reading and stretching (I should grab a yoga book, as the space is better suited to yoga than to forms.).

What is a forty minute walk, is indeed about a six to eight minute bike ride. I've found a couple of decent places to leave the bike, though I'm missing my bike locker. And I'm now the proud owner of a new U-lock (to match my heavy duty cable) and have acquainted myself with Recycled Cycles, and have be referred to another shop which might be able to better help me find a hold for my headlamp battery. If I haven't yet replaced the really awful floor pump that was abandoned to my keeping by a formed lover some... well, more than a dozen years ago, anyway, my tires are at least full, and I'm going to see if I can get accustomed to using my frame pump most of the time. It's a nice one, and I used to do that.

It's a little lonely, but that's probably the expectation of loneliness as much as anything else. Even just turning on the BBC while I stretched disappated most of it.
