Nov. 14th, 2005 01:19 pmVaguely tired, vaguely bruised and battered. Didn't sleep enough, back being mildly problematic, no real surprise. Not in horrible shape, though.
Having one of those exchanges with a collaborator that has me wondering "Am I crazy?", going back and re-reading the message a couple of times, and slowly coming to the conclusion that he either just plain doesn't understand the problem, or that he doesn't take it seriously and is attempting to blow me off. Have to work on bypassing the "Am I crazy?" phase.
A friend reminded me that before the advent of the electic light people got on average 9.5-10 hours of sleep a night. I wonder what that would be like? (Okay, I'll admit I'm wondering specifically in terms of a number of metabolic disorders that I suspect might be in part linked to what I think of as our current background stress levels from such things as our sleep schedules.) I rarely get eight.
