Blood for the Winter Solstice?
Dec. 18th, 2005 02:46 pmSo the Puget Sound Blood Center just called me, and asked me to donate as their supplies are low. I ended up setting up an appointment at the Bellevue office for 1 pm, and decided that while I don't really think of Solstice as a blood holiday, it seemed like a not unfitting way of marking the day.
Anyone else interested in marking it in a similar fashion? (I know people who celebrate the solstice as a religious holiday, as a non religious holiday, and as just a good time for a party. I vacillate between these myself.) If enough people can make it in more or less a group, they'll receive us as such and send us a special thank you card. It turns out the center in Bellevue is open until eight on Wednesday.
