Apr. 3rd, 2006 12:55 pmHas anyone had much experience baking in a propane oven? I've been having some temperature control and humidity issues that have been giving me very strange results when I bake bread. Obviously this calls for more experimentation, but pointers would be appreciated.
Yesterday I said aloud "I sure now that I managed to avoid the bug that was going around the lab"... and three hours later I had a sore throat. So I came home early today, and am going to nap, get ahead on readings, and maybe do some homey domestic stuff. (I'm not sick, exactly, but I probably would become sick if I pushed it.) My repotted rosemary is much happier with life, and is now surrounded by a little circle of sprouting garlic. (For garlic greens, not for bulbs. Garlic greens are tastey, and one of the easiest possible things to grow.) I picked up some basil seeds, and will be starting them soon. I have beans soaking to make beans with squash and chilis... sadly, PCC was lacking tomatillos, so I'll be using tomatoes instead.
I have an idea that's interesting enough I'll be pursuing it to some extent... but it'd be for a project at my current lab, in which I'm supposed to be wrapping things up. Appeals to the engineer in me, though.
