Saturday's Hike
Aug. 15th, 2002 10:48 pmWill be to Bridal Veil Falls. It's a fairly easy four mile round trip
hike to look at some really lovely falls, and (I'm told, I took the other
fork up to Lake Serene) a historical ruined cabin. It's also a
particularly nice trail for native medicinal plants.
Directions: Head East on Highway 2, past Sultan, Startup, and Goldbar.
Keep your eyes open for mile marker 35 -- it's immediately followed by the
turn off to the Mt Index road. Turn onto this road, and follow the signs
to the Lake Serene/Bridal Veil falls trailhead. Forest Service pass is
required.
Meet at Victor's Coffee at 10:00. (http://www.victorscoffee.com)
Please drop me a note if you're going to make it.
