So Saturday evening I got really tired kind of early. But, y'know, I get up early most mornings, and I've been doing extra forms and yoga to make up for the lack of sparring, and it's allergy season. So I went to bed early.

Sunday I felt like I'd been hit by a truck. Got up, did forms, did math, went back to bed. Oh yeah, and it hurt to talk. Stayed in bed pretty much all day.

Monday was a little better. I lay very low, because I have a final on Wednesday.

Today is kind of worse. I mean, I've been a lot sicker, but the want to sleep all the time and lack of concentration is kind of bad in terms of critical thinking and experiment design. And the final is tomorrow. After a lot of staring at my notes and realizing that I really need to be back in bed, I called student health. (And felt dumb, because really, I've taken exams far sicker.) They said I should come in. I said geez, I mean, I have a virus, what good is coming in going to do? Shouldn't I just pull the covers over my head and hide? But after some discussion I came in. And I have a fever, and I have swollen glands, and my throat looks like it is growing warts, and I am under orders to stay away from people.

I feel really dumb about this. (I mean, I'm all for not getting anyone else sick. But...)

Anyhow, I emailed my professor, and she wants me to take the exam next week, and all will be well.

Well, except the neuroscience abstract. But taking the exam next week takes some of the pressure off there, too.

Darn it, my spine was finally feeling a lot better, too.

Wah. In Seattle, pho and tom kah would be readily available.
