So yesterday I felt great, so I trained extra. And then I went to yoga, and got there early so I could do extra rope work (which is really good for the still recovering muscles of my back, but tends to take it out of me - clearly I need to do more). And then it was back bend day... which is usually kind of an easy day for me, but then I also tend to, um, well, show off, really. (Well, I don't really think other people are watching, but I like to push myself.) And then from a couple of chance comments, I figured out how to make a couple of the poses actually challenging. And then we did a lot more rope work. (Go hyperflexibility in the shoulders and spine.) And ab work, but then compared to what I'm used to for ab work I don't think that counts for much.

This morning I feel lightly toasted all over, especially in those muscles under the right shoulder blade.

Here's the thing: If I push things (and I think the kind of excessive amounts of rope work might count) I'll feel it most the second day after. Though less if I get all those muscle groups today. And tomorrow I'm leading a conditioning class.

And my computer is on its way to me as I type this. This schedule...

In other news, when I was talking to my sister, we talked a lot about her teaching arials, which she's doing more and more of now. She related the kind of pep talks she gives beginners - "Look, folks, it's not normal to do this stuff! What else in your life are you doing that will have you use your body like this!"
