Sep. 17th, 2002 08:11 pmJust went and worked organic dry fertilizer (my own mix, in the best Steve Solomon tradition) into the soil of one of the beds I cleaned out a couple days back. Hoed it and smoothed it and than planted brocolli, chard, red kale, and cabbage. Still can fit one more row across the bottom... might see if I can pick up some spinach. Or more chard.
Then I started cleaning up the herb garden. (Had to stop because it was getting too dark, and the weed whacker wasn't fully charged.)
Feels good. Got some muscles moving that were kind of locked up on me. Of course, an even better way to get them moving is to go lift weights, but then I wouldn't get the garden planted. Maybe I'll go lift weights now... [As I'm typing this, I lean back over the back of my chair, and something in my spine goes *thunk!* Mmm...] I really should plant some lettuces, and that ginger. And finish up the wiring on the trailer so I can get some more compost for the depleted beds.
Oh,
krow, can you show me those wrist exercises you keep mentioning sometime? Still haven't kicked that spot of tendonitis I've been fighting.
