Idle Question
Nov. 13th, 2009 01:43 pmWhat does it mean for something to be creative? Particular for some work or activity to be creative?
I've been running into this thing I've noticed before, where students will say something like "I'm not really good at foo, I'm better at creative things." Where foo usually is science, computers or math.
And the students are disproportionately female.
I've been trying to come up with some definitions of "creative" that categorically exclude science, math and computers. This seems very strange.
