Nov. 10th, 2002 03:39 pmI just bought us a new recumbent exercise bike. And the two year warranty -- which I might have otherwise thought excessive, but the last bike bit the dust on day 78 of a 90 day waranty, and that was with Canyonwren here to help wear it out... I'll do my best to put this through the wringer (and the lousy weather will help) but I decided to bet on prudence.
Woke up with a heft headache -- think I pushed my neck a bit too far yesterday. (Some of which was awfully fun, and I don't regret at all, some of which involved stupid stuff like sitting on overly soft sofas without decent back support.) But after some stretching I'm feeling okay. A little stiff and achey in my shoulders, but that's really not bad. (And will likely be cured by a session with the weights.)
I really want to spend some time writing, but I want to make sure my upper back is more stable first -- and today is going to be hectic, at least until after exhibition training this evening. And weirdly, I'm in the mood for wushu more than taiji. Must get the heavy punching bag hung...
(By the way -- the exhibition is next weekend, as is Chen ZhenLei's seminar. After that I'll probably emerge a bit again.)
