...and I canvased for Organizing for America, aka the Obama campaign.

It was a non-horrible experience (though next time I am bringing walking shoes to supplement the biking shoes. Oy.) And geeking with folks afterwards was kind of amusing.

Most conversations went something like this.

"Yeah, I'm voting for Obama."
"So, I'm putting you down as a strong supporter?"
"Not as enthusiastic as last time. But... yeah. I mean, consider the alternatives."
*exchange of horrified nods* "Yeah, me too."
"At least I figure, if he takes Ohio, he probably takes the country."
"Here's hoping."

I honestly really like the folks involved with the local campaign. And canvassing door to door... at least involves walking around outside and doesn't involve telephones.

I'm exhausted. And generally glad I did it. Not sure I'll do anything else with them - if nothing else, time is a serious issue. And I need to think about the process. (This was mostly a get out the vote campaign, which was a plus.)

Oh. And I'm not twenty-two. Seriously, I would have thought this was obvious.
