Nov. 12th, 2002 11:35 pmI'm in a burrowing mood. The weather is windy and rainy, and I like that very much. I sat on the floor of the livingroom and looked up at the trees through the front window -- how tall they are! -- as the last of the daylight faded. The trees seemed to draw up the darkness from the ground.
On a day like this, I want to savor the distances between things, savor the bad weather, savor the feeling of the rest of the world being inaccessible. I want to take long lonely walks, now that fall is finally falling, and then come home to a hot cup of tea, and curl up and write.
(The cats are also in burrowing moods, but mostly this means burrowing into me, or Craig.)
Alas, this is a very busy week, and I'll be able to indulge myself... thursday. At least part of thursday.
