Dec. 15th, 2002 11:45 pmI may never be done with this dratted bathroom.
But I really hope to be done with it tomorrow. It partly depend on how quickly the paint dries... I finally had time, reasonable health, and Craig's help moving the toilet (a blocking issue) so I was ready to go, and all set to put on a coat this evening. But it occurred to me that I should remove the ugly light fixture that I wanted to replace anyway, so I could have the paint even behind it. Sounds good, right?
Unfortunately, the wall behind the light fxiture was textured, even though the rest of the walls are smooth... So I get to mud over and smooth the entire thing. First coat's down, now I'm waiting for it to dry so I can sand it and patch it further. Ugh. Otherwise I'm pretty much taped and ready to go.
Oh, and it's not going to be sweet orange, or nacho cheese. I think we're looking at an undercoat of yellow haze, with a sponge layer of hill bloom on top.
I want a job coming up with names for paint colors.
